Wyandra Camping

Located in the small town of Wyandra on Moody Street, Wyandra Camping is just of the Mitchell Highway.

The camping area, which is provided by and maintained by the local community, is large and spacious and the only charge is a donation which should be left in the donation box that is kept in the camp kitchen.

There are toilets, solar powered hot water showers (get in early if you want a hot one!) and bore water available at Wyandra Camping as well as a camp kitchen and a fire ring that you can sit around for a chat and relax, you just need to provide your own fire wood.

Wyandra Campging is a short 10 minute walk from “The Beach” which is a lovely sandy area on the banks of the Warrego River, or try your luck at catching some yabbies and yellowbelly. If you enjoy bird watching, there are plenty of those to see as well.

Take a walk around the town and visit the newly established museum in the Power House which provided power to the town from 1955 until it joined the state electricity grid in 1970. (source: www.paroo.qld.gov.au)

This is a great camping area with lots of space so make sure you leave a donation so that the town can keep it going.

There is some mobile phone service (depending on your carrier) and television reception here.
Dogs are welcome at this campsite but please be responsible!

The maximum time limit for staying here is 2 days.
